VThree develops a new service to help people in Thailand share with confidence

From technology for businesses to a platform connecting people, resources and opportunities.

VThree International is developing a new sharing-economy service prototype to make it easier for people in Thailand to put existing belongings and resources to shared use. Trust between participants is a central consideration from the outset.

Could something we no longer use still be valuable to someone else? And do we need to buy something new every time we only need it temporarily?

Starting with everyday sharing

These everyday questions inform a neighbourhood platform for giving, exchanging and borrowing. The aim is to help people discover useful items, contact one another and arrange local collection, supported by information and an experience designed to build confidence between people who have not met before.

Give

Pass useful belongings on to someone who needs them.

Exchange

Swap unused items for things that meet each other’s needs.

Borrow

Share access when needed, without buying new every time.

Developing a prototype to learn from real use

The project is in prototype development and preparing for user testing. VThree has brought the concept into the project-proposal process with Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), or NIA, to seek an opportunity to advance its development.

VThree aims to use technology to make better use of resources, reduce unnecessary spending and help small acts of sharing become the start of stronger community relationships.
